arty shmarty

im a fine art painter at the university, which is a lot fun. when working in art most ideas come through your own perception of things, i want to experiment with how other people's ideas change when told to someone else. i will create something art based on a concept made by one of you. so think of an idea and describe it to me. I think your materials and the way in which you use those materials to create your artwork could be interesting. Try something different paint with ketchup, sculpt with bananas, draw with a bloody steak, use unusual tools too....for example use a whisk? or a saffron bun. (Nettie, London)

Be entirely influenced by the people you meet. Every time you meet someone today take a snapshot and remember a key element a colour, feature or detail. Then try and use this information to influence your work. (Vikki, London)

MAke a sculpture of something from your favorite painting that you have ever done. reworking a favorite piece in a new medium, especially one you dont use often, gives you a new outlook on that piece and why you like it so much. (Ad, London)
